Brief description of the activity

Students listened to three different flamenco songs selected by their Music teacher.

The activity took place in the class. After listening, students wrote down their feelings and what they suppose these songs are talking about.

The selected songs were:

1. Paco de Lucia - Almoraima

2. Estrella Morente - Tangos de pepico

3. Carmen Linares - Taranta Y Cartagenera del Molinete

Paco de Lusia "Álmoraina". This song and this music , when I listen to, I want to get up and dance in a big scene!! It makes me feel nice. In this song I like guitar !! Carmen Linares "Del Molinete" This song it makes me feel sad, because the dreams can’t became true !! Estella Morente "Tango de pepiko". This song makes me move my body even when I seat down. I like the voice ! ! !

The feelings which I feel are: sad, happy, little boring but is good the music is with hands and the legs and they have very real sound!

The song of Carmen Liners (Del Molinete) is telling about one lost love, which hurts and the woman is very sad. Very beautiful and strong voice… but I don’t like it because I think that is a little boring.!

The song of Paco de Lucia (Almoraina) is amusing, and the rythme is nice. I like very much the voice!

The song of Estrella Morente is telling about love

Carmen linares with the song dell molinente she uses guitar, she haven’t very clear voice and I think that this song express hurt, long and regret. I like it.

Packo de Lutcia with he’s song almorena he uses drams and castanietes and this song express happy and I like it.

Estella Morente with the song Tang de Pepico he uses guitar and castanietes, this song express love, he uses also his hands and I like it most from the others two.
